“Malaspina” is a female born in Forres (Moray, Scotland). It can be identified from a distance by a yellow ring with the ‘PA’ code. It was named in honor of Alessandro Malaspina (1754-1809). Italian navy who led one of the greatest scientific trips throughout the Pacific coast to Alaska, the Philippines and New Zealand were he travelled, mapping and making catalogs of plants and minerals.
