She knows she can´t waste a minute of the day and taking advantage of the cooler hours Malaspina begins stage to Albacete, crossing from north to south.
Sierra María. Photo:Felipe Ortega At 15:00 Malaspina is in the province of Almería and the Natural Park of Sierra Maria-Los Perez, located in the northern province of Almeria. It is an area with many birds, so it is assigned a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA). In this area you can see iconic birds like the golden eagle, booted eagle, the griffon vulture or northern goshawk, among others. About 17:00 decides to rest and spend the night in an area with vegetation, probably in a tree branch. Today Malaspina has flown more than 250 kilometers with an average of 40 kilometers per hour.
