“Elcano” is a male born in the village of Aviemore. It can be identified from a distance by a yellow ring with the ‘NC’ code. It was named in honor of Juan Sebastián Elcano (1476-1526), born in Getaria (Basque Country) who participated in the first round the world tour, being at the head of the expedition after the death of Ferdinand Magallanes.
