ELCANO September 7th 2014.- Visiting reservoirs in Castilla y León

At 7:00, the young Elcano has gone to Sobron reservoir, where Ebro connects Tobalina valley with Miranda de Ebro.

At 14:00 has arrived in Aguilar Reservoir, the biggest in Palencia, with 1650 hectares. This is a migration resting and wintering point for many aquatic bird species.

Elcano has gone to Prádanos de Ojeda, 15 km south of the reservoir, and he has decided to spend the night in a pine forest.

Today he has flight over 120 km. This is not a very big distance for an osprey in migration. Perhaps our Elcano prefers to take his time and enjoy the journey. Tomorrow we are going to continue his voyage through the peninsula.
