ELCANO September 8th and 9th 2014.- In Arribes del Duero

Elcano likes starting his day early. He has started flying before down, towards the southwest, crossing Palencia and Valladolid. He has reached Zamora at 19:00. We haven't received all the points of the day to know his trajectory, but we know he has spent the night in a forest near Ricobayo reservoir.

In 8 September, he left at about 6:00, and continuing in the same direction, he arrived at Arribes del Duero. This is a natural region where Duero and Agueda rivers have carved deep canyons in the plain. Nowadays this is a Natural Park where more than 200 bird species live, for example black stork and bird of prey like bonelli's eagle, egyptian vulture, golden eagle and griffon vulture.

Elcano carries on his trip, but we have no more dates, so we have to wait for some days.
