HUMBOLDT 13 and 14 September, 2014.- Crossing the Atlas

On the 13 of September "Humboldt" has travelled 300 km in less than 10 hours. Once it stepped African soil "Humboldt" delves into desert. Today has also been a long day, beginning its new stage at 8:00 and resting at nightfall. Along the way it comes across difficult terrain such as the Atlas Mountains, with a top which is 2800 meters high. "Humboldt" spends the night near a small town called Khenifra, at 1200 meters altitude.

The next day at 8:30 is already on the way, it must continue their migration. Today it will cross a mountain over 3800 meters. After a couple of hours flying, "Humboldt" finishes crossing the mountain range and is located in a valley at 1000 meters. We may conclude that the young osprey has used favorable winds and currents because its movements have been very irregular flying over Atlas.
