Loyalty to Urdaibai. Old friends of the marsh.

During the census of water birds that we carry out in the marsh, we could obtain these curious images, where appear together two specimens that were marked in the migration and wintering monitoring program carried out from de Center. One of them has a metallic ring that was ringed the 9th of October of 2010 and the other one has coloured rings put the 3rd of October of 2011.

It is curious how these specimens of this species have chosen our marsh not only to spend the winter last three years, but also for both feeding and resting. This could be confirmed thanks to the coloured rings that they carry out and that are designed to made a distance reading, and that they have been recognized and seen during these winters on behalf of several contributors of the center.
