Easter Opening Times - Loads of days to enjoy nature and migration!

Great news. We are open every day over the Easter Holidays. From the 12th to the 27th of April you can visit us every day from 11:00 to 19:00. What´s more the May Bank Holiday is just around the corner so there´s plenty of time for birding!

Nature is waiting and so are our telescopes. There´s lots going on in the marsh!

Spring is in full swing and so is migration. The stilts have arrived and we hope they will be nest building soon. The swallows are also preparing the breeding season.

Each day brings a new surprise. This week we were visited by a very unusual bird which depends on wetland habitats for its life cycle - the whiskered tern. It skims its food from the surface of the water without diving.

We also have our eyes on the skies for flocks of spoonbills heading north. They need places to rest and replenish on their way and Urdaibai is ideal for them.

So take advantage of the Easter holiday and come to Urdaibai Bird Center. There are so many amazing things to discover.
