Our Osprey Urdaibai has made a new journey through African lands. Know her tour.

It seemed that our young osprey had decided to settle in a small village in the coast of Senegal, near the great Delta of Saloum. Aitor Galarza, Director of the project, could confirm himself, that Urdaibai was all right and then share it with all of us on our website.

Jetty where Urdaibai was very comfortable in Ponto, Senegal.

However, last March 25th, she set out a flight to the south. As she has done before, she followed the coast crossing the countries of the Western Africa and making stops in huge estuaries that occupy nearly all the Atlantic coast in these latitudes. The mangroves and sandy areas that are everywhere are refuge for thousands of migratory birds.

The journey has lasted for several days. In our section called Monitoring Technologies, you could know all the details of the journey and even how far she has reached.
