The regular assembly of EUROPARC-España organised this year between the Regional Government of Bizkaia and the Basque Government have taken place in Urdaibai the 26th and 27th of June. In this assembly have been done different sessions in the three different environmental equipments of Urdaibai: Udetxea Palace, the Basque Biodiversity Centre and the URDAIBAI BIRD CENTER. This Thursday, responsible of the management of the natural parks in the State and institutional responsible of them held a working day in the Urdaibai Bird Center.

The purpose of this visit was to discuss about different management tools that has the Network of Protected Nature Areas in Europe, Natura 2000 network, promoting and encouraging the cooperation between these areas protected by the 38 Member States, and in the same way are encouraging the relationships between the protected nature areas in Spain and other nature areas in Europe.

Moreover, the members of the assembly of Europarc had the opportunity to learn in depth the Urdaibai Bird Center, making a guided visit in the Center, managed by Aranzadi Society of Sciences and promoted by the Regional Government of Bizkaia and the BBK.
