Easter Timetable. Spring Migration brings surprises every day !

Good news! We're extending our opening hours so you have the máximum opportunity to visit the Urdaibai Bird Center and enjoy the Spring migration and the beautiful wetland landscapes in Urdaibai..

From April 1st to 16th, we will be open everyday from 11:00 to 19:00.

Spring is in full swing and migration is well underway! The black- winged stilts have returned to the Orueta marshes and we can´t wait to see if they stay here to breed.

In addition to these lovey shorebirds, the black kites are also back in all their glory.

Every day brings a surprise. This week we have been visited by a pair of swans, a garganey and a spoonbill with a GPS tracking device.

In addition to this, Muxar, the wintering osprey appears to still be Urdaibai but could leave any day now.
We have our eyes on the sky and there have been sightings of unidentified ospreys.

As more birds are on their way, we invite you to enjoy the treasures of spring in the Urdaibai wetlands!
