World Bird Day,2021

For us birds are always the protagonists in the Urdaibai marshes. Even so, they deserve a special day to remind us of how important they are.

We will be celebrating World Bird Day on Saturday October 2nd, as we have done in previous years. We want to offer you the chance to really get to know the incredible world of birds in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.

So that you can experience the birds up close and gain a better understanding of how scientists monitor bird populations and their movements, we are going to hold 2 ringing sessions. Each session will be for a máximum of 15 people. One session will begin at 10.30 and the other at 11.30. The event will take place as long as the weather conditions are favorable.
