As part of this yearly international event, we will be celebrating World Migratory Bird Day at the Urdaibai Bird Center on May 10th.

This year our event will be different, as actually visiting us is not yet possible due to the current situation. Instead, we are going to hold a virtual open day, bringing the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve to your homes through our live cameras.Mokozabalak

We invite you to join us for an excellent day of bird watching from the Center and the observatories located in the Gautegiz Arteaga marsh. It will be a great opportunity to see birds on their migratory routes to their breeding areas in the north of Europe.

All around the world, visitor centers in natural areas will be organizing activities related to birds, their migrations and their connections with people.Migrazio bidea

As something new, there will be a live broadcast of a scientific ringing session (weather permitting). This will give you the chance to see how birds are ringed and tracked.
