World Wetland Day 2021 - enjoy it from home!

It´s World Wetlands Day on February 2 and we´ll be holding a special event to celebrate.

This year will be different, due to the current situation. As we can´t hold an event at the Urdaibai Bird Center itself, we going to have a virtual open day. We are going to bring the heart of Urdaibai to your home with a live broadcast from our cameras and from our web page www.birdcenter.org

Everyone who joins us will enjoy a wonderful view of the Gautegiz Arteaga marshes in real time. The theme will be the importance of water, wetlands and their conservation.

And of course, we´ll be doing some bird watching. There are many incredible species wintering in the magnificent wetlands of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
