"THE OSPREY IN URDAIBAI" Conference: recovery of an environmental icon

On Tuesday 20th of May at 20:00pm, will take place the conference entitled " THE OSPREY IN URDAIBAI : recovery of an environmental icon " in the Elai -Alai Aretoa of Gernika, that will deal with the osprey´s recovery project in Urdaibai. This project began during the summer of last year and is headed by the technical team of Urdaibai Bird Center in collaboration with experts from the Highland Foundation for Wildlife of Scotland with the intention of make these birds achieve to breed in the near future in Urdaibai.

In order to understand the ecology of this bird and the way how the osprey is recovering in other areas of the world , Dr. Aitor Galarza , director of the project , will give this talk for those who want to know how the first year of this experience had gone, and which is the current situation of the first released eagles in Urdaibai.
The talk will also deal with the environmental education project that is being carried out related to this project.
