Goal! Goal! Gooooooooooooooooooool from the ospreys Roy and Landa!!!
Early this morning Landa laid her first egg.
Many of us have been watching the courtship of the breeding pair in Urdaibai for a very long time but it has been worth the wait and there could be more in store.
Normally ospreys lay 2 or 3 eggs and occasionally even 4. They are laid at intervals of 1.5 to 2 days and incubation lasts about 35 days. We will be able to watch everything that happens live so it's really exciting.
In the meantime Roy, the male, will be bringing his captures of mullet and sea bass to the nest so spectacular views are assured.
The fantastic news from the osprey nest in Urdaibai has already crossed many borders and people from places such as France, Wales, England and Scotland are following the storyof Roy and Landa´s family, a family which is of French and Scottish origin.
