The Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve certifies Urdaibai Bird Center's adherence to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Natural Spaces.

Urdaibai Bird Center has joined the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Natural Areas.

The aim of all ECST projects and activities is the protection of the natural and cultural heritage and the continuous improvement of tourism in the Protected Area in terms of the environment, local population and businesses as well as visitors.

On 23 February, the Permanent Forum of the CETs met to present the certificates to the 14 new organisations that have joined.

From the Urdaibai Bird Center we hope that this type of initiative will help to conserve biodiversity in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
