Elena Del Val an amateur from Madrid observed on January 7 a White Stork carrying a black ring with a 50 as a code at the landfill of Pinto (Madrid). The Stork was born in the nest of Atxaga (Forua) in 2011, is the third time it is observed in this landfill. We do not know if it use as a wintering area or simply as a resting and feeding point during their migration. Photo (Elena Del Val). Concentration of Storks at the Pinto dump in October 2014. The one wearing the black ring was born on an antenna in Mungia (Biscay), 2011. Pinto is one of the four large landfills of Madrid and is one of the places where are highest concentrations of Seagulls, Storks and other birds of the inside of Spain. Several ringed Storks in Biscay have been observed in the place.
