We are lucky to observe this interesting and beautiful specie developing the typical labours related to the breeding of its chicks as, for example, the feeding.

It is quite unusual that the Spotted flycatcher puts its nest in an artificial nest built for swallows, so this is a surprising image.

This spectacle will be short, though. In around 10 days the chicks will leave the nest.
The Spotted flycatcher can be seen in our territory in summer time because it abandons its breeding areas by the end of the summer to pass the winter in Africa.

When they reach our territory, they are located in the surroundings of the forests so they can catch flying insects in open areas by making short flies.
